Shamli city located in Uttar Pradesh is famous for its Sugar Mills and Jaggery. It was also the center of successful Green Revolution that helped country to become self-sufficient in food production. It’s also known as an international Manufacturer of Wheel Rims. The literacy rate of the city is 81.97% which is higher than the state average of 67.68%.

The city boasts various kinds of study centers, Colleges, Education Centers to provide modern and good education to the students. Many industries, Factories want a technically skilled worker that’s why technical education is a necessity of today. It has Govt. and Private ITI’s (Industrial Training Institutes) to give technical as well as non-technical education through different trade courses. Some courses under this scheme are Event Management Assistant, Human Resource Executive, Web Designing and Computer Graphics etc. Students with minimum age of 14 years and minimum qualification of matriculation can get admission in these courses. The duration of the courses is from 6 months, 1 year and 2 years.

Vyavasayik Pareeksha Parishad (www.vppup.in), Uttar Pradesh is responsible for organizing the entrance examination for admission in State ITI’s. Admission to the various courses is done every year in August.
